The reproductive system of the females dolphins is similar to the one of other mammals. The ovaries are located in the abdominal cavity behind the kidneys. The ovaries of dolphins are spherical and long, with a quite smooth surface. During the ovulation, the mature ovaries contain cells surrounded by other cells to form follicles.
